in Thousand
Oaks, California. This relatively young city is

Camarillo
The city
of Camarillo is located 10 miles west of Thousand Oaks in a
beautiful coastal plain. Its residents take advantage of many
attractive features, which includes a thriving economy, excellent
schools, natural parks, and a mild climate. Camarillo’s
economy is supported by industries ranging from high technology
and retail to agriculture. Its public school system has received
state and national recognition for educational excellence.
Recently a new four-year university was opened in the area,
California State Channel Islands.
On weekends
you can go for a hike at Channel Islands National Park, tee
off at one of the many golf courses, or stroll along the Pacific
Ocean. With 23 parks and the Los Padres National Forest, you
will find endless amounts of outdoor fun. If you fancy shopping
and entertainment, Camarillo’s old town and premium designer
outlets are worth visiting, and for entertainment there is
the Christmas parade in December, the famous Point Mugu Air
Show, and summer concerts in Constitution Park.
