| Optical Design |
| TOOS can optically design your lenses or optical systems in the visible, UV and IR regions. The latest design program (Optical Research’s Code V) is utilized to ensure performance requirements. TOOS has the experience to design and build virtually any optical product or system; From single component to advanced Heads-up Displays and Simulators. |
| Mechanical Design |
| TOOS can design your lenses to any mechanical requirement and environment specified. Solid Works is utilized to ensure that all the mechanical and optical components work together as required. CG’s, weight and stress analysis of key components can be supplied if required. |
| Manufacturing Capabilities |
| Manufacturing can produce components for the visual, MWIR and LWIR systems. Materials range from the visual glass types, various crystals used for infrared and metal components. |
| Assembly Department |
| The assembly department can assemble lenses of all types including but not limited to , standard single field of view lenses, continuous zoom, multi fields of view, folded systems and multi wavelength. Ultra precision lenses may be assembled on the TOOS vertical lathe assembly bench with or without the air bearing spindle. |
| Testing Department |
| Includes Refractive and Reflective Optical Benches, Interferometers, Light Sources, Photometric and Densitometric Equipment. Optical tests include Resolution, MTF, Depth of Focus, Transmission, Focal Length, Color, Astigmatism, Relative Aperture, Relative Illumination, Distortion, Field Curvature, Line of Sight (Boresight) and Environmental Stress Screening (ESS). MTF is performed utilizing the Optikos Infrared MTF bench for the 1.5-5.0, 3.0 - 5.0 and 8.0-12.0 micron wavelengths. |
| Quality Assurance |
| Quality comes first at Optimum Optical. By building quality into our products, we assure ourselves of achieving OUR MOST IMPORTANT GOAL - A SATISFIED CUSTOMER. OOSI quality system has been certified to MIL-I-45208. MIL-Q-9858A Inspection System requirement can be implemented on an individual basis. TOOS is currently going through ISO-9000 qualification. |
