THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (August 17, 2026) – Teledyne Scientific & Imaging today announced the promotion of Dr. Tony Ragucci to Vice President and General Manager of Teledyne Scientific Company. The appointment follows the planned retirement of Dr. Bobby Brar and positions Teledyne Scientific for continued leadership in advanced research and technology transition across the Teledyne enterprise.
Dr. Ragucci brings more than 20 years of experience across advanced sensing, electro-optical and infrared systems, semiconductor technologies, product innovation, business strategy, and executive leadership. Since joining Teledyne in 2025 as Senior Director of Business Development and Strategy for Teledyne Scientific, he has helped shape growth priorities, deepen customer engagement, and align Teledyne Scientific's research capabilities with growth opportunities across the company.
Prior to joining Teledyne, Dr. Ragucci founded and led the Research Advanced Prototyping and Innovative Design (RAPID) Laboratory at Leonardo DRS, where he built an applied research organization focused on next-generation sensing. Under his leadership, the laboratory's work earned the Military Sensing Symposium Hershel Award twice for significant contributions to infrared device science and technology.
Throughout his career, Dr. Ragucci has earned a reputation for translating technical depth into mission-relevant capability and business impact. His recent election as an SPIE Fellow recognizes his contributions to optics and photonics and his record of advancing scientific and engineering innovation.
